How Email Marketing Can Boost Your Business

It's one thing to convince peeps to follow you on social - that's cool and all, but if you're an entrepreneur you need to find ways to convert them into loyal paying customers. One of those ways is called, E-Mail Marketing Funnels.

Yeah gwurl, it's a thing. Here's how to do it!

STEP 1: BUILD YOUR EMAIL LIST
There are so many ways to do this. You can create an opt-in form on your website (there's usually a widget for it), literally ask peeps on social media (you gotta get their permission to send an email though, obv), create a landing page, or even collect emails at events.

STEP 2: NURTURE THAT LIST
Literally - send emails. There are lots of apps you could use to formulate 'em - MailChimp, Mail Mimi or Constant Contact & so many more. But here's the tricky part: you have to put in the time to provide *good content.* Prove to them they made the right choice to join your e-mail list. By sending good content, they'll grow to trust you, and when it comes time for them to buy, they'll feel good about buying from you.

STEP 3: CONVERT 'EM INTO LOYAL CUSTOMERS
If they follow you on social media, they most likely already see what you're selling. Statistics show, people need to see an ad 7-times before they whip out their wallet to buy. E-mail marketing is an extra nudge right in their inbox. Just remember, you need to create good content for peeps to actually buy. Look back at step #2.

STEP 4: KEEP 'EM
This step looks kinda like step #2. Remember we mentioned we want loyal customers? One that's always happy with your customer service and comes back for more.

This is where you need to really know your customer. Creating targeted content so that your customers can get the most out of your product. Cuz TBH, if you're selling women's clothing, but sending emails about politics - whut? *unsubscribe*

Okay, so now that you know what an e-mail funnel is — get to work! Build your email list and develop consistent ways to keep your audience engaged (with that good content).
